La Ristrettos

This is probably the last place you expect a nice cosy cafe. Located at the 8th floor of Novena Medical Centre, La Ristrettos serves good coffee and some really yummy food. From Square 2, we looked for lifts that will bring us to Novena Medical Centre. Upon stepping out of the lift at the 8th floor, turn left and look out for the cafe signage. Boyfriend looked at my suspiciously when I led him out of the lift into the lifeless corridor and was really surprised by how well hidden this place is.

La Ristrettos is one of those cafe that has very short operating hours, especially on Saturday so we have not make a visit until a month ago, on my Teachers' Day break. We were there at about 11am on a Friday morning and there were about 10 other people enjoying this beautiful space.

We had Americano ($3.50), Mocha ($5.80), Mushroom Frittata ($12) and Grande ($14). I thought the food was really reasonable priced and we really enjoy the breads. Boyfriend always let me have some of his food when he order such big breakfast plate and I like how they do their mushroom - serving it whole.

This is definitely one of the better breakfast places but I guess we will only make a second visit if we happen to have an appointment nearby. Loving days like this when we get to enjoy our brunch in a more peaceful manner. Eating out these days can be a real pain lately because of the weekend crowd.
