Lavaedge @ MacRitchie

The Groupon addict in me will look through half the promotion available, search about the vendor and decide whether to purchase the Groupon almost everyday. That brings me to Lavaedge! Making reservation with Lavaedge is not easy because they do not have a land line, the mobile number is not working and they take forever to reply an email.

However, the service at the restaurant was really good and boyfriend and I really like the place (so much so that we thought of having our wedding reception there) The decoration is nothing fancy but we like the idea of dining in comfortable in the middle the reservoir.

This is look interesting but both of us were not dressed for it and... nobody is using this place. Wonder if it is clean/safe... ...

For $25, we purchased the groupon worth $50 which can be used during their Weekend Semi Brunch Buffet. "For each main course order, diners are also entitled to the restaurant's semi-buffet spread, which includes a bread board, a variety of cereals, flavoured yoghurts, freshly baked croissants and other pastries, homemade desserts, drinks and more." Not exactly in our affordable range for a brunch because we end up topping up another $20+ but still a good experience.

After having our orders taken, we hopped (I guess only I did) to the buffet line to get some bread, eggs and salad. Boyfriend had the Ribs with fries and corn on the cob (which he mentioned is super super sweet and juicy) while I had the Salmon with veggie and mashed potato. Both mains were passable. The eggs were cooked on the spot with choices of omelette, sunny side-up and scrambled eggs. We enjoyed the Kaya Swiss Roll and the macarons (surprisingly).

boyfriend came up with this shot and I thought it look rather cute

We were struggling with the pose below and did like almost 10 times. But it was all for the fun!
