Symmetry

One Sunday afternoon, the friends decided to have an impromptu meet-up over coffee. Suggested Symmetry, hoping that it would not be that crowded to accommodate 6 of us. I remember seeing photographs of the cafe and its signature voodoo couple at the entrance but the cafe seems to have changed its setup a little. Glad to find ourselves a table enough for 8 and happily settle down while waiting for the rest to come.

We were informed that the kitchen will be closed shortly and decided to quickly order some food cos boyfriend and I were getting hungry. We had our usual coffees, Truffle Fries and Waffles which are both on the recommendation list (or at least blogs which I have read thus far)

The coffee were fairly good but what really takes the show is the gingerbread man cookie that came with the coffee. It is so freaking cute! Was pretty shocked to see the little mountain of whipped cream on the waffle when it was served because I usually do not take whipped cream. Gave it a try and I couldn't stop getting more. Boyfriend says this is the best waffle we have eaten! The fries came in a bucket, hot and all filled with truffle aroma! I like it as much as the ones at PS Cafe but the ones at Symmetry seems a little oilier especially towards the bottom of the bucket. But that is not stopping us from reaching for the last fry.

Despite its inconvenient location, the cafe was bustling with business with loud music playing in the background. I love the eclectic mix of furniture and decoration. The price is slightly higher but I will definitely go back for their waffle or fries again.
