Tomi Sushi @ Parco Marina Bay

I love Japanese food and Parco is one of my favourite place to settle my Japanese food craving. Back when Parco was just opened, it was quite a less visited place and I remember going into Saboten with less than half the tables filled on a Friday evening. Now, it is impossible to not queue. Speaking of which, it has been a while since my last visit to Saboten which is famous for its Tonkatsu. Maybe soon?

The other restaurant that top my list is... TOMI SUSHI!!! I have been craving since the first time I went and has been looking forward to this trip :) We were quite surprised to find that it is more expensive than our usual Itacho and Sushi Tei during our first visit so we decided to order Sushi Gozen set ($54++), Yu ToFu Nabe ($10++) and Unagi Sushi ($7++) to share. We were filled to the brim at the end and very satisfied. The Unagi Sushi is so melt in the mouth, I fell in love with it! After GST, it costed us $90+ which can be quite a sum to pay for a normal meal.

For our second trip (special occasion cos boyfriend just got his first pay for his new job), we decided to go during their lunch after looking at the menu online. We were the first customer of the day! Unlike most restaurant where the service staff like to put diner at the same area, the staff at Tomi actually spread us out so that we can have as much privacy as possible.

We ordered a Sushi Bento ($38++) and Nigiri Sakura ($28++) and my favourite Unagi Sushi ($7++) which works out to be about the same as what we paid for during our first trip.

Sushi Bento
Sushi Bento consist of 5 Nigiri Sushi, 3 California rolls, miso soup, salad, chawanmushi, salmon sashimi, prawn tempura, grilled fish and fruit.

part of the Nigiri Sakura
Nigiri Sakura consist of 7 pc Nigiri Sushi, 1 tamago, miso soup, salad, chawanmushi, chicken karaage and fruit.

drool-worthy Unagi Sushi!

Tomi Sushi is really the place to go for sushi and sashimi (so thickly-cut and fresh!) But I guess we will need another special occasion to drop by again though I have to admit that it is very value for money for their Lunch Set.
