The Wedding : Lovescapade

Missing the boyfriend a little more than usual though we met a couple of hours ago. After he started his shift work, I have grown more independent and love the self time I get for myself too. We learnt to appreciate the times we can spend together but also time spent apart. After being together for 7 years, we've gone through various important milestones and learnt to cope well each time. I think that's what make our relationship really precious and special. But there are still times like this when I missed all the weekends spent together.

Anyway, I ought to be working hard on some school work after this update.

A couple of days back (on our 7th anniversary), we had our lovescapade (or typically known as prewedding) shoot taken with Multifolds. Lots of things didn't managed to go as planned but we still had a great time. Things went well with the bridal shop. The make up by Milly was really good and I love the braids that she gave me :)) And I'm so excited thinking about what I can do for actual day. Hee. The gown was gorgeous and the seamstress aunty was really helpful to alter boyfriend's suit cos he realised it was too loose for him. Funny thing was, we were so focused on my gown on fitting day and forgot to take a good look at his suit.

Boyfriend also made this giant crepe paper flower for me and I really have to give it to him. His craft work has improved again. I think I should provide him with more challenges. HAHAHA!!!

Melvin is also working with IM.Perfection to provide interesting props for photoshoot and he got us this HUGE 'LOVE' sign. Was planning to have them at Tuas but due to the rain and all, we did our afternoon shoot all at Marina Barrage. The LOVE sign was such a hit with the people there and many thought it was a new feature.

Melvin really made the whole experience very interesting and fun for us. When we saw how crowded Bukit Timah's NTUC was and how difficult it was to shoot there, he quickly suggest to head to Giant at Turf City and that we could include Pasarbella in our shoot too. Can't wait to see how the photos turn out but right now he is in Melbourne for another photoshoot and I shall not stress him. One thing down and next is... Parents meetup. OMG!

long day at work

I rarely update here about work but I had such a long day, I feel a need to find a space to rant. Brought the class out on a field trip with the parents today. Thank goodness we all came back safe and sound but the chaos I witnessed today is definitely one of a kind. Still in such an unbelievable mode that I keep asking my colleagues if this is normal. I know how different kids can be when parents are around but some are really NOT listening to the parents. Which really bothers me.

It speaks a lot about the parenting style and what goes on outside of school. I would say it was an interesting experience and hope it is beneficial for parents too. That aside, I hope no parents going to complain about anything. And happy weekend!!!

YIPPIE!! It is boyfriend's long weekend and we are having a BBQ tomorrow (no exactly that excited cos I'm having terrible breakout lately and the photoshoot is in a week time, but still happy)

BANGKOK 2014 - Legacy Express

We went ahead with Bangkok despite the still undergoing protest. 2 days before the trip, we heard about this major demonstration that will be held on our last day. After reading up about it, we felt like we would still be quite safe because we are going to Chatuchak area on the last morning. We do see them on walking rally and saw the news but seriously, it wasn't that bad a situation.

Instead of staying near Siam area, we chose Legacy Express because 1) it is near Phloen Chit BTS Station, 2) we will not get stuck in protest at the main city area, and 3) it was so so so reasonably priced.

I thought the location was really good. It is about 3-5 minutes walk to the BTS Station and it totally works for us because we wanted to avoid taking cab and all the haggling situations. There are probably quite a lot of offices around so every morning, there are lots of food stall selling food and drinks to this crowd. The coffee near our hotel is so so so yummy!!! Missing it so much... ...

The room are pretty good but we wished they had more pillow... Not sure if they could provide more if we asked but I wasn't so bothered actually. Other than the fact that boyfriend tried to steal my pillow every night. I am not very very picky so for the price we paid, I felt this was really good. And the most important thing I want to point out is...

THE SERVICE IS DAMN GOOD! The front desk staff are really helpful (with early check in at 11am and check out at 2pm. LOVE THEM!) and the housekeeping staff are quite friendly too. But the most commendable staff is the security who helped to open the door for me almost every time. I think we only opened the door 3 times personally (because they were busy cutting down this tree infront of the hotel).

here's the lobby that we rested and packed our luggages on the last day. woes of late night flight out
rather spacious room I would say
But the thing was, we couldn't figure their free WiFi. I bought their sim card with data plan so boyfriend just tap on mine to use in the end.

Other than that, all is good. And it is really near this cafe that sells awesome sandwiches. In the next post of our day 1 and that awesome cafe!

artisan boulangerie co.

With some OT to claim, I left early from work one Friday to have some couple-time with the boyfriend because he just started shift work then and I was still adjusting to the no-cafe-hop-weekends. We were actually shopping around Vivo City before I did a quick Google search and found artisan boulangerie co (abc in short).

It was our usual Mocha, Americano, and some chocolatey pastries :) We didn't expect much from the chocolate lava cake cos it was priced on the lower side. But it was so so so yummy. It is definitely the most value for money chocolate lava cake around. Well, having baked it before, I know it is not that hard a cake to make, you just need quality ingredients. This cafe will be on the list when my chocolate craving hits. The coffee were good (just read that they are from Toby's Estate) too and service is very warm as well.

I guess good stuffs do not stay as a secret for long when it comes to food. The last time I were at Vivo with my girlfriends, we couldn't get a seat indoor because everyone was so happily lounging in their oh-so-comfortable couch.
